El miércoles que viene voy a vivir con mi familia nueva en Barcelona. Estoy muy contento porque tiene otros perros y le echo mucho de menos a Levante. Ayer estuve un poco triste y lloraba, entonces Kate me llevó al parque a jugar con los cachorros allí, y lo pasé muy bien. De verdad he estado llorando mucho, porque cuando lloro Kate me da chuches y caricias. ;)

Next Wednesday I am going to live with my new family in Barcelona. I am very happy, because they have other dogs and I miss Levante very much. Yesterday I was a bit sad and was crying, so Kate took me to the park to play with the puppies there and I had a great time. To be honest I've cried a lot, because when I cry Kate gives me treats and lots of cuddles. ;)

Hoy me voy a mi casa nueva. He hecho una maleta con mi muñeco de perrito, una toalla, una botella de agua de unos chuches para el viaje. Voy con Fernando y Julio en el coche - ¡qué aventura! Ayer me despedí de mis amigos en Sevilla. Hicimos un paseo largo con Mika el Beagle al parque. Me va a echar mucho de menos a Solano, pero me han contado que voy a vivir con otro galgo en Madrid y tengo muchas ganas a conocerle. ¡Espero que le guste jugar!

Goodbye Seville, Hello Madrid!

Today I'm going to my new home. I've packed a suitcase with my toy dog, a towel, a bottle of water and some treats for the journey. I'm going with Fernando and Julio in the car - what an adventure! Yesterday I said goodbye to my friends in Seville. We went for a long walk with Mika the Beagle to the park. I'm going to miss Solano a lot, but I've been told that I'm going to live with another greyhound and I'm looking forward to meeting him. I hope he likes to play!

Hoy he sido un poco malo. He quitado (con un poco de ayuda de Levante) la tercera venda que me han puesto en la pata. La primera me gustó porque fue verde y soy de Betis. Pero las demás las quité rápidamente. Después me aburría en el piso y hice un poco de carpentería con los muebles de la azotea. Kate me ha dicho que soy un "NAUGHTY DOG". Pero ser cachorro con una pata malita es duro ;) Ahora estoy tranquilo sin venda con mi juguete "Kong" rellenado con unos chuches.

Today I was a little bit naughty. I removed (with a little help from Levante) the third bandage which had been put on my paw. The first one I liked, because it was green and I support Betis football club. But the other ones I removed very quickly. Afterwards I was bored, so I did a little bit of carpentry with the furniture in the terrace. Kate told me that I was a "NAUGHTY DOG". But it's very difficult being a puppy with a poorly foot. Now I'm calm without a bandage with my "Kong" toy filled with treats.

¡Otra vez a la Vete!

Ayer fuimos otra vez a visitar a nuestra vete, Nuria. Nuria hizo una radiografía de mi patita y dijo que tengo un dedo partido. Me puso una venda y me dijo que necesito reposo. ¿Reposo? ¿Qué es eso? Con la venda puesta ya no me duele tanto y estoy corriendo con cuatro patas y jugando con Levante. ;)

To the Vets Once Again!

Yesterday we went to visit our vet, Nuria, again. Nuria took an x-ray of my poorly paw and said that I had a fractured toe. She put a bandage on my leg and said that I needed rest. Rest? What is that? With the bandage on it doesn't hurt so much any more and I'm already running on four paws and playing with Levante. ;)

Ayer por la noche estuve jugando en el piso, dando vueltas en el salón, por las escaleras y en la azotea y tropecé y me caí dando un golpe al dedo de mi patita. Ahora está hinchado y tengo una hematoma. Kate me ha dado un antiinflamatorio y ya no me duele tanto, pero voy con tres patas hoy. :(

On Friday night I was playing in the flat, doing circuits in the sitting room, up and down the stairs and in the terrace and I tripped and fell, stubbing one of my toes. Now it´s inflamed and bruised. Kate is giving me antiinflamatory tablets and now it doesn't hurt so much, but today I am hopping on three paws. :(

Kate dijo a nuestra vete Nuria que nos aburrimos en casa. Entonces nos dijo que podríamos salir a la CALLE solamente si no tenemos ningún contacto con los demás perros. Ya hemos salido algunas veces - ¡nos encanta! Levante está más relajado, pero yo alborota mucho por la calle - hay tantos ruidos, olores, personas, coches, bicicletas, caballos, el tranvía... en fin que me agobio a veces y tengo un poquito de miedo. Pero cuando Kate coge nuestras CORREAS ¡empiezo a llorar y ladrar por ganas a salir! ;)

Kate told our vet Nuria that we were very bored indoors. So she said that we were allowed to go out on the STREET only if we didn't have any contact with other dogs. We've already been out a few times - we love it! Levante is more relaxed, but I get a bit worked up - there are so many noises, smells, people, cars, bicycles, horses, the tram... that I get stressed sometimes and am a little bit scared. But when Kate picks up our leads I start to cry and bark with excitement to go out!

La Gran Expedición

El sábado pasado teníamos un gran día. Salíamos de nuestra casa con Kate y Marité y fuimos en el coche al VETERINARIO. Nuestra vete se llama Nuria y nos gusta mucho. Lo hemos pasado genial - en la clínica había un GATO a le que hemos dado muchos besos. Kate nos ha llevado a visitar a Nuria porque teníamos una reacción de la piel con muchos granitos y no sabía lo que fue. Nos picaba mucho. Nuria nos dijo que fue un dermatitis de cachorros y nos preguntó ¿si habíamos comido algo extraño? Hmm... a ver.... le contamos que recientemente habíamos comido varias plantas en la azotea incluyendo los tomateros (con los tomates), unas plantitas de pimientos, un poco de geranio, un poquito de jazmín, un girasol entero (¡qué rico las semillas!), un poco de una silla de madera y dos velas perfumadas. ¿Son cosas raras? Esta semana tenemos un SHAMPOO especial para bañarnos y medicina para nuestra piel. A Solano le encanta bañarse - es un perro de agua - pero a mí no me gusta tanto el agua y me escondo donde puedo. Lo que sí a mi me gusta es cuando Kate nos seca con la toalla - ¡eso es divertido! ;)

The Great Expedition

Last Saturday we had a fantastic day. We went out with Kate and Marité in the car to the VETS. Our vet is called Nuria and we like her a lot. We had a great time - in the surgery there was a CAT and we gave it lots of kisses. Kate took us to visit Nuria because we had a skin reaction with lots of little spots and she didn't know what it was. It was very itchy. Nuria told us that it was dermatitis that is common in puppies and asked us if we had eaten anything strange? Hmm.. let's see... we told her that we'd recently eaten various plants in the terrace garden including the tomato plants and tomatoes, some little pepper plants, a little bit of geranium, some jasmin, a whole sunflower (how yummy the seeds were!), a little bit of a wooden chair and two scented candles. Are those strange things? This week we have a special SHAMPOO for baths and medicine for our skin. Solano likes baths - he's really a Spanish Water Dog - but I don't like water very much and I hide wherever I can. What I do like, however, is when Kate drys us with that towel - that's funny! ;)

Ayer Kate fuí a visitar a Marité. Entonces nosotros trabajamos un poquito en la azotea, trasplantando las plantas que quedaban. Redistribuimos la tierra por todas partes. Después pensábamos que posiblemente Kate se enfadaría con nosotros. Entonces hemos echado la culpa a los muñecos de perrito y los dejamos arriba con el desorden. ;)

Naughty Puppies

Yesterday Kate went to visit Marité. So we worked a little bit in the terrace, transplanting the few plants that were left. We redistributed the soil all over the place. Afterwards we thought that Kate might just possibly get cross, so we blamed the toy puppies and left them upstairs with the mess. ;)

La Limpieza y el Accidente

A mi me gusta ayudar con la limpieza de la casa. Ayudamos con la fregona en el piso, con la escoba grande en la azotea y a Solano le gusta coger la manguera y ir corriendo, echando agua por todos lados. Ya sé hacer mis cosas fuera, pero esta semana tuve un accidente y hizo una caca en la entrada del piso... y un pipi. Kate llegó y pensaba ponerse a limpiar inmediatamente para que lo no pisamos. Puso un papel encima de la caca mientras cogió la fregona. Yo pensaba ayudarle y cogí el papel con la caca. Fuí corriendo, ¿pero a dónde? Salté encima del sofá, pero se abrió el papel y la caca se fue volando..... oops!

Cleaning and the Accident

I like helping to clean the house. We help with the mop in the flat, with the large broom in the terrace and Solano likes to run with the hose, squirting water all over the place. I already know how to do my business outside, but this week I had a little accident and did a poo in the entrance to the flat... and a wee. Kate arrived and thought that she'd clean it up immediately so that we didn't tread in it. She put paper on top of the poo whilst she reached for the mop. I thought that I'd help and I took the poo in the paper. I ran, but where to? I jumped onto the sofa, but the paper opened and the poo went flying... ooops!

Cada vez que una persona abre la puerta de nuestro piso, ¡intentamos escapar! Vamos corriendo por el pasillo hasta las escaleras donde paramos, esperando a Kate que viene corriendo. Es un buen juego. De verdad nos gustaría poder salir a la calle. Cada día miramos la gente y los perros paseando abajo desde nuestro balcón. A veces les ladramos, "¡Hola, hola!" Pero nuestro veterinario nos ha dicho que hasta no tosemos no podemos salir. ¡Uff!

We want to explore!

Every time that someone opens the door to our flat, we try to escape! We run down the corridor until the stairs, where we stop, waiting for Kate who comes running. It's a good game. Actually, we'd really like to go out to the street. Every day we watch the people and dogs walking down below from our balcony. Sometimes we bark, "Hello, hello!". But our vet has told us that until we're not coughing anymore , we can't go out. Huff!

Hola, soy Levante!

Hoy estamos todos muy cansados. No he dormido mucho esta noche, porque tenía miedo. Solano había salido a la terraza a dormir, porque dijo que hacía fresquito fuera. Pero yo no quería salir, ni estar solo. Le he llamado, "¿Donde estás, Solano? ¡Guau, guau, guau, guau!" hasta Kate se ha levantado y Solano se ha bajado de la terraza. "A TU CAMA! me dijo Kate y me fui, pero en cuanto ella estuvo en su cuarto, Solano salió. "Guau, guau, guau, guau!" le llamaba. Otra vez pasó lo mismo. Y otra vez, y otra vez, hasta Kate nos dijo, "Ya está - ahora me voy a enfadar!" y fuimos a nuestra cama.

Today we are all very tired. I didn't sleep very much last night, because I was scared. Solano had gone out to sleep on the roof terrace, because he said it was cooler outside. But I didn't want to go out, nor be alone. I called him, "Where are you, Solano? Woof, woof, woof, woof!" until Kate got out of bed and Solano came downstairs. "GO ON YOUR BED!" said Kate, and I went, but as soon as she'd gone back to her room, Solano went out again. "Woof, woof, woof, woof!" I called. Again the same thing happened. And again, and again, until Kate told us, "That's enough - now I'm going to get really cross!" and we went to bed.

¡Hola!

Hoy hemos tenido un buen plan. Hace mucho calor esta semana entonces nos decidimos a levantarnos muy temprano. Despertamos a Kate a las 6.45 de la mañana ladrano, "¡A JUGAR, A JUGAR!" y saliamos arriba en la terraza para hacer carreras. Después de unas 40 vueltas bajamos a desayunar y hemos estado durmiendo durante casí todo el día. ¡Qué gusto! ;).

Today we made a good plan. It's very hot this week, so we decided to get up very early. We woke Kate up at 6.45am barking, "LET'S GO AND PLAY!" and we went out on the terrace to do races. After some 40 circuits we went down for breakfast and we've been sleeping nearly all day. ;)

Ha llegado el calor a Sevilla. Hoy estamos planchados y no nos movemos del sofá. Levante está practicando lavarse, limpiándose una patita. No sabíamos limpiarnos cuando llegamos. Kate dice que seguramente nos han quitado demasiado temprano de nuestra mami. No nos acordamos. ;) Kate nos limpia con una esponja mojada que nos gusta mucho. Siempre intentamos robar la esponja del armario.

Solano y Levante The heat has arrived in Seville. Today we are lying flat-out and we're not moving from the sofa. Levante is practising washing himself, cleaning a paw. When we arrived, we didn't know how. Kate says that they probably took us away from our mummy too early. We don't remember. ;) Kate cleans us with a damp sponge, which we like a lot. We always try to steal the sponge from the cupboard.

Somos gran jardineros. Especialmente nos gustan las plantitas de pimientos - las podamos, comiendo las hojas que están a nuestro alcance. Todavía mejor son los tomateros. Kate nos ha contado que tenemos una tía que se llama "Nora" en Asturias que antes se llamaba "Flea". Nora vivía aquí y ha cuidado los tomateros, trasplantando muchos para Kate. No te preocupes tiíta Nora - ¡vamos recogiendo los tomates para ti!

Solano y LevanteWe are great gardeners. We especially like the little pepper plants - we prune them, eating the leaves that we can reach. Even better are the tomato plants. Kate has told us that we have an aunt called Nora in Austurias who used to be called "Flea". Nora lived here and looked after the tomatoes, transplanting many of them for Kate. Don't worry aunty Nora - we're going to pick them all for you!

"SIT" y los PREMIOS

A mí me encantan los PREMIOS. Los PREMIOS son galletas para perros tan ricos que yo haría cualquier cosa para conseguir uno. Kate me dice siempre "SIT" y tengo que sentarme en el suelo. No me importa nada - ¡quiero un PREMIO! Levante no entiende lo que pide Kate. Se pone muy nervioso, volviendo loco por los PREMIOS. Kate tiene que forzarle un poquito hasta que se sienta. ;)

I love TREATS. TREATS are dog biscuits that are so tasty that I would do absolutely anything to get one. Kate always says, "SIT" and I have to sit on the floor. I don't mind at all - I want a TREAT! Levante doesn't understand at all what Kate wants. He gets very excited about the TREATS. Kate has to force him a little bit so that he sits. ;)

Hoy es el domingo y eso significa que Kate tiene mucho tiempo para jugar con nosotros - ¡iuuujuuu!! Me ha enseñado un juego nuevo: grita, "1, 2, 3, GO!", y yo corro de un lado de la azotea al otro. ¡Me gusta mucho! Estoy intentando enseñarlo a Levante: practicamos en el salón: ladro, "guau, guau, guau, GUAU!" y corremos como locos, saltando arriba y abajo del sofá hasta Kate dice: "ya está!". ¿Qué le pasa? ¿No le gusta su propio juego? ;)

Today is Sunday and that means that Kate has lots of time to play with us - yippee! She has taught me a new game: she shouts, "1, 2, 3, GO!", and I run from one end of the terrace to the other. I like it a lot! I am trying to teach Levante: we practice in the living room: I bark, "woof, woof, woof, WOOF!" and we run like loonies, jumping on and off the sofa until Kate says, "that's enough!". What's the matter with her? Doesn't she like her own game? ;)

¡Buenos días, soy Levante!

Este fin de semana estoy intentando hacer un récord: ¡ayer comí junto con Solano una cacerola grande de arroz con carne y verduras, dos platos de pienso y un caldo muy rico! Ya tengo mucho más energía y ¡no paro de jugar!

¡Hola, soy Levante!

Hoy escribo yo, porque ya me encuentro mucho mejor. Cuando llegó hace unos días estuve malito y tuve las patitas muy débiles debido a la mala alimentación. No pude andar mucho y no me apetecia jugar con mi hermano. Fuimos al veteranario y después de estar desparasitado por dentro y fuera, tomar antibióticos y un anti-inflamatorio para la tos, una pomada para la infección en mi ojito, limpiar mis orejas, y comer muchísimo ¡me encuentro mucho mejor!!

Hoy he jugado mucho con mi hermano Solano. Solano es más grande y fuerte que yo, pero eso no significa nada: ¡salto encima de su cabeza, le ladro y le robo su comida! jajaja

No puedo correr tan rápido como él, pero voy a practicar ;).

Hello, I'm Levante!

I'm going to write today, because I'm feeling much better. When I arrived a few days ago, I was poorly and my paws were very weak, due to malnutrition. I couldn't walk very far and I didn't feel like playing with my brother. We went to the vets and after being treated for worms and parasites, flea-sprayed, have a course of antibiotics and an anti-inflamatory for my cough, an ointment for my eye infection, have my ears cleaned, and last, but not least, eat an enormous amount, I am feeling much better!!

Today I played a lot with my brother, Solano. Solano is much larger and stronger than me, but that doesn't mean anything: I jump on his head,I bark at him, and I steal his dinner! hehehe

I can't run as fast as him, but I'm going to practice ;)

Las Escaleras

Somos muy curiosos y somos grandes exploradores. Kate pensaba que no subiríamos las escaleras, pero ¡no tenemos miedo de nada! Mientras estaba trabajando hemos subido para explorar. Ya sé subir y bajar rapidísimo y esta noche he enseñado a mi hermano Levante a subir y bajar también. El es más tímido, pero ya lo hace muy bien. He tenido un accidente, hice caca arriba en la escalera y la hemos pisado por todos lados. ¡Oops! Kate saca siempre una FREGONA para limpiar que me gusta mucho -
le ayudo. Ladro ¡guau, guau!

We're very inquisitive and are great explorers. Kate thought that we wouldn't climb the stairs, but we're not afraid of anything! Whilst she was working we went up to explore. I can already go up and down very fast and this evening I showed my brother how to go up and down as well. He's a bit more timid, but he can already do it well. I had a little accident and did a poo on the stairs and we trod it all over the place. Whoops! Kate always gets out a MOP to clean, which I like very much - I help her. I bark, "woof, woof!".

No es que no nos gusta nuestra cama - al contrario nos encanta - pero EL SOFÁ es tan cómodo, acolchado y suave que seríamos tontos si no durmieramos encima. Kate nos lo pone difícil. Pone cojines grandes, una caja para ropa y cualquier otra cosa encima para que no podemos subir. Pero lo quitamos todo y dormimos allí cuando no está ella. jejejeje

It's not that we don't like our bed - on the contrary, we love it - but THE SOFA is so comfy, cushioned and soft that we would be stupid not to sleep on it. Kate makes things difficult. She puts large cushiones, a clothes basket and anything else she can on top so that we can't jump up. But we pull all the things off and sleep on top as soon as she's not there. hehehe

¡A Tu Cama!

Hemos aprendido un juego nuevo. Se llama "A TU CAMA". Vamos corriendo rápidamente y saltamos en nuestra cama cuando Kate lo dice. No nos quedamos allí: salimos para hacerlo otra vez, y otra vez, y otra vez.... ¡jajaja!

We've learnt a new game. It's called "GO ON YOUR BED". We run very fast and jump on the bed when Kate tells us. We don't stay there: we come out again to do it again, and again and again.... hahaha!

Papel de Periodico y "La Caja"

Kate, la chica en nuestra casa de acogida, ha puesto papel en el suelo - ¡qué divertido - nos encanta! Jugamos con el papel y lo hacemos pedazos, nos gusta tanto jugar con el papel que procuramos no hacer pis encima. Todavía más divertido es LA CAJA. Kate quiere usamos LA CAJA para esto, pero es tan divertido jugar con la arena que hay en ella - la tiramos por el suelo. A veces Levante se senta en LA CAJA porque Kate le dice "buen perro" y le da caricias. ;)

Kate, the girl in our foster home, has put paper on the floor - how funny - we love it! We play with the paper and tear it into shreds. We are very careful not to wee on the lovely paper: better in an area where there isn't any - it would be such a shame to mess on it. Even funnier is THE TRAY. Kate says, "Wee in THE TRAY", but the litter is too good for that - we play in the litter tray and throw it all over the floor. Sometimes Levante sits in THE TRAY, because Kate says, "good dog" and strokes him. ;)

Llegada

Hoy hemos tenido un día muy largo. Por la mañana nos han recogido dos chicas, Marité y Kate, de la residencia donde estuvimos y hemos ido en un coche a ver al veteranario. Ha hecho mucho calor y las chicas decían que van a morirse por el olor en el coche. ¿Qué olor? La vete nos ha dado medicina, nos ha pinchado y las chicas nos han limpiado y han puesto un spray. ¡Puuuuuuf! Después hemos ido a nuestra casa nueva donde vamos a vivir unas semanas. Nos gusta nuestra cama. ;) ¡A dormir!

Today we've had a long day. In the morning we were picked up from the dog home by two girls, Marité and Kate and were taken to the vets in a car. It was very hot and the girls complained that the smell in the car was going to kill them. What smell? The vet gave us medicine and injections and the girls cleaned us and sprayed us. Pooooooo! Afterwards we went to our new house where we're going to live for a few weeks. We like our new bed. ;) Off to sleep!
